How does the brain control the reproductive system and the reproduction process?
The anterior pituitary gland secretes luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) which stimulate the gonads to produce sex hormones and gametes (eggs and sperm). The secretion of LH and FSH is controlled by the hypothalmus' gonadotropin-releasing hormone.
