If the process average is in control, then the process range must also be in control? True or False?

This is for my supply chain management class, and i cant find it even in the book.

Any help would be great! If the process average is in control, then the process range must also be in control? True or False?
not much sure but seems that its

TRUE.If the process average is in control, then the process range must also be in control? True or False?
true
NO. If your book is referring to Statistical Process Control, then the measure that counts is the standard deviation which measures the range. Measures of 0 and 100 would yield an average of 50 as would 49 and 51. The former indicates little process control, while the latter indicates a predictable process. Look up W. Edwards Deming or Statistical Process Control on the internet for more explanation.
