A Process control problem ?

For feedback control, the driver normally uses distance to the vehicle ahead as the measured variable. The 鈥?set point 鈥?then is recommended to be some measure of distance related to speed , for example 10 mph . If this assertion is correct, how does feed forward control come into the braking/accelerating process when one is attempting to drive in traffic at constant speed? In other words, what other information does the driver utilize to avoid colliding with car ahead? A Process control problem ?
does the driver UTILIZE???

have you ever driven? If so, do you UTILIZE? Then utilizing while driving should be against the law.

Utilize indeed. You're going to get someone killed.
