Hasn't it been proven that in America, the best way to improve programs and process is to add competition; not Govt. control and bureaucracy?

The U.S. government simply cannot be trusted with tax dollars. They finance myriad dependency programs that offer no reason for people to work. It seems more like congress wanting to control peoples lives than actually offering any incentive for independence. I fear a democrat majority in both houses and the white house for this reason.

Our government officials spend tax dollars like drunken sailors. As far as Canada being a model for healthcare, you are terribly mistaken. The only advantage to their system is inexpensive prescription drugs. As in most of europe, many canadians needing major surgery or other essential care come to the U.S. for it. I guess that would depend on who you asked. If you asked the leeches that suck off the govt., they would say the one they benefit from. Why are people entitled to medicare just because their at a certain age? Why don't you lawmakers allow people to work for what they need. AMERICA doesn't need hand-outs. We need protection from outside entities, not hand outs. If there is an unemployment rate its because of the lazy leeches, not the presidents fault, economy or the like. If you can get up off your lazy butt then you should be able to find something to do. The nerve of some of you people to take food stamps, social security (when you didnt even put in) and the like is a disgrace to the America I know. Imagine how the world would be if everyone acted like you.


The only entity that has improved, needed, and really helps is the military.

Any government agency has one desire: To grow larger and increase its budget. The goal is not to improve or solve the problem, because then your job goes away.
I'm not seeing any answers yet...Hmm I wonder if people really believe the government can provide for them when they can't even provide good education to the nation with the billions spent. They can't seem to find the money to fix the infrastructure, and they spend money we don't have.
Yes. The armed forces. It is the one and only thing a government can do right. Of course if a Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter is president and they gut the military as they both did then the government cannot even do that.
Nothing is ever gained by letting the Govt. take control of it. As for as Canada Health Care, surgery wait can be months. If Canada is so great, why do many Canada residents come to the US for their surgery, no waiting line, that is why. Canada Health Care plan was strickly to sky rocket taxes, not take better care of patience, and lord help ya if your old Grandparents gets sick, especially needs surgery, think they care...no, they are too old anyway, let them die. And Hillary wants to model US healthcare after their health care, no thanks, the US is not stupid.
I don't agree. Social Security Medicare and Medicaid are relatively good programs. I prefer Canada's though
