What are some of the basic laws, which control the collective bargaining process?

Do you think strikes should be allowed? What are some of the basic laws, which control the collective bargaining process?
Collective Bargaining Agreements are governed by the National Labor Relations Act of 1935.

Collective bargaining allows workers to have a voice in the way their employer operates their business.

Strikes are usually a last resort and sometimes the only effective leverage workers have. There are some unions that for public safety reasons should not and can not be allowed to strike, such as Police Officers and Firefighters. Other unions have become so powerful that the mere threat of a strike can have long term damaging effects on our economy, for example the Teamsters Union.

All in all, collective bargaining does help to ensure fair workplace practices, but can also become dangerous to the economy or public safety.
