What is the process of getting birth control?

I have to go on birth control, because i have acne, and my doctor thinks going on birth control will help it go away, because my period is the reason for a lot of my break outs, and going on birth control will stop my period, so what is the process of getting it? Like, do they have to take blood, or anything like that? I remember reading something in a book about them having to put something in her vagina, and I don't want them to do that to me! But like, what do they do???What is the process of getting birth control?
your doctor gives you a prescription. you take the pill once a day. that's it.

the thing that they stick inside you is a tool used to basically pry you open so they can look around and scrape at your cervix. it actually isn't painful at all. kind of tickles a little! but they only do that when they do a pap smear. What is the process of getting birth control?
They will ask you some questions about your previous medical history and lifestyle, for example if you smoke or have ever had liver or heart problems etc. They will then weigh you and take your blood pressure to check that it is ok for you to go on the pill. They will decide which pill is the most suitable for you and then you just need to take the pills as instructed, making sure you read the leaflet carefully before you start. Everytime you go to get another packet of pills, they will take your blood pressure and weigh you again because sometimes the pill can increase your blood pressure.

Good Luck,hope this helps x
ask your doctor. there are pills that you can take, or a shot every 3 months. they can help greatly. they dont need blood, they just need to make sure u are healthy enough for it.
u take a freakin pill everyday at the same exact time.

thats it.
they dont take out any blood or go down there to check on u thats only if ur getting checked for std's or hiv or something....

the process is easy go in and they talk to u about it...
